HOMER PROJECT GOES TO ITALY FOR

THE SMART CITY EXHIBITION

Homer project was presented on 22 October by Emilia-Romagna partner, in the framework of the third edition of Smart City Exhibition in Bologna, the European event on issues of innovation in cities and smart communities where researchers, makers, politicians, businessmen and citizens, highlighting the best experiences of our country and identifying replicable models of international success in Italy.

 

Emilia-Romagna partner highlighted the main results of the Homer project: the federation of open data portals, aiming at sharing common data sets related to MED strategic domains (agriculture, energy, environment, culture and tourism) through the creation of a searchable federated index of metadata of all the Open Data Portals, including through transnational solutions for metadata; the app developed from data released in project- in the context of HACK4MED, international Hackathon Non Stop 24 hours developed simultaneously in 5 regions of the Mediterranean.

Smart City Exhibition met more than 7.000 visitors, best practices and projects of more than 120 cities, and nearly 500 speakers of Italian and international, participating in over 80 events - including conferences , workshops and training sessions.
