The OPEN DAYS, European Week of Regions and Cities, is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement the European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. In parallel to the OPEN DAYS official programme, a number of related events are taking place in Brussels throughout the week. These are referred to as OPEN DAYS side events. Their content, registration process, access to them and location are entirely a responsibility of the respective event organiser (http://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/conferences/od2014/index.cfm).
