Hack4med Workshop in Turin on April, 15th 2014 / Regione Piemonte

In the framework of the HOMER project, Regione Piemonte has organised a launching Workshop preparatory for the HACK4MED Hackathon in Turin, dealing with Open Data use and with the aim of “Learning from experts and good practices”.
The workshop will be held on April, 15th 2014, and it’s an important “warm up” for the Hack4med contest (http://hack4med.homerproject.eu/
) in the Homer Project hackathon on next May, 17th.
Gabriella Serratrice (Regione Piemonte ICT Sector Head) will introduce the workshop, Gianluigi Cogo (Regione Veneto, Task Leader) will present the Homer Project and the Hack4med idea, and Luca Guerretta (HOMER Project Manager for Regione Piemonte) will speak about Hack4med in Piemonte (http://www.hackunito.it/hack4med/
The speakers Maurizio Napolitano (Fondazione Bruno Kessler), Lorenzo Benussi (Top-ix), Federico Morando (Centro Nexa), Désirée Bua (CSI-Piemonte) and Anna Cavallo (CSI-Piemonte) will give to participants a rich and wide panorama of good experiences exploiting and re-using Public Sector Information (PSI): OpenStreetMap, Apps4Italy contest, Piemonte Region OD portal (dati.piemonte.it) & open data services, the OpenDAI hackathon “heritage”, and the good practices related with the contest organised in ONE project by the Manchester City Council.
All the speakers will be also involved in a round table (chairmain Gianluigi Cogo) on the theme “Open Data -> Useful Data -> Used Data”.
